| Welcome to the APPCIOverviewThe Advanced Postgraduate Program in Clinical Investigation (APPCI) was first developed by the University of Florida under the Clinical Research Curriculum Award (K 30) funded by the NIH from 1999 – 2010. APPCI provides a comprehensive didactic curriculum and training program in clinical and translational science for senior fellows and junior faculty in the health sciences. Once accepted into the program, APPCI Fellows may complete a certificate program, or a master’s degree in Clinical and Translational Science (MS-CTS), Public Health (MPH), or Epidemiology (MS-Epi). All programs consist of a graduate study curriculum, a program of mentored research with suitable faculty and a series of support programs of seminars, visiting professorships and other presentations. APPCI Fellows are expected to prepare and submit a grant proposal to an appropriate funding agency during their fellowship. Additional programs are available through the Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) which overlap with the APPCI curriculum but are designed for pre-doctoral trainees and research coordinators. Mentored research funding for junior faculty, also utilizing portions of the APPCI curriculum, is being developed through the CTSI. For additional information on these opportunities, please go to www.medicine.ufl.edu/TPDP. WHAT IS OFFERED
