Cardiovascular Medicine
Ambulatory Cardiology Section
Includes daily outpatient clinics at Cardiology West, Shands Cardiovascular (CV) Clinic and the VAMC. Each year, there are approximately 17,000 patient visits at Cardiology West, 8,000 in the Shands CV Clinic and an additional 6,000 patients at the VAMC. All members of the CV medicine division have outpatient responsibilities, and medical residents or students can elect to work with one of several faculty members.
The Cardiology West facility is located in the community about 4 miles off campus and also offers full CV lab services including:
- Echocardiography
- Nuclear Cardiology
- Stress Testing
- Peripheral Vascular Testing
- Device (pacer and ICDs) Evaluation
- Coumadin Management
- Lipid Testing
