Dr. Cooper-DeHoff graduated from the University of California at San Francisco, School of Pharmacy in 1986 and completed a residency there in 1987. In 2007, she graduated from the University of Florida with a master’s degree in medical sciences, with an emphasis in clinical investigation. Her interests are in coronary artery disease and hypertension and the adverse metabolic effects of antihypertensive medications.

Academic Interests:

Dr. Cooper-DeHoff is the principal investigator for the NIH-funded study “Metabolic Effects of Antihypertensive Drugs”. She was also an investigator of the International Verapamil Trandolapril Study (INVEST) which evaluated hypertension treatments in elderly coronary artery disease patients, and is a co-investigator on two NIH grants evaluating pharmacogenetic associations in hypertension. She has completed participation in the Advanced Postgraduate Program in Clinical Investigation (NIH-funded K30 program) at the University of Florida. She is a member of the American Heart Association, American Society of Hypertension, American College of Cardiology and Florida Society of Hospital Pharmacists.
