Academic Interests:
Dr. Geiser is currently working with Dr. David Wilson of the Department of Mathematics in developing computer algorithms and software for analysis of primarily echocardiographic images. He has served a 4 year term on the NIH International and Cooperative Projects Study Section and been an ad hoc reviewer on numerous other study sections and special review groups at the NIH. Dr. Geiser served as Chair of the Annual Scientific Session of the ACC in New Orleans in 2004. He is currently President (2007-2009) of the National Board of Echocardiography, and has served on the Board since its inception. He has served as Secretary/Treasurer for the NBE from 2003 to 2005, President-elect from 2005 to 2007, and Chair of the Certification Committee in Adult Echocardiography from 2001 to 2007.
