Biomarker Sub-study

The University of Florida has secured modest funding to initiate a "BioMarker Sub-study" of INVEST called "Heart Disease Outcomes: Impact of Genetics and Pharmacogenetics". We are inviting you to participate in this exciting and important sub-study.

Our objective with the Biomarker Sub-study is to create a genetic database within the INVEST population that can be coupled with the clinical information being generated.

Comparisons of Non Invasive Blood Pressure Methodologies

To correlate office blood pressure measurements, applanation tonometry and ABPM measurements in patients participating in the INVEST.

"Study of Antihypertensive Drugs and Depressive Symptoms" (SADD-Sx)

Directly compare beta-blockers versus calcium antagonists with respect to risk of depression or depressive symptoms or their impact on patient’s health-related quality of life.
