Academic Interests:

Dr. Madlambayan is recognized for his translational research efforts in the area of stem cell engineering with a specific emphasis on elucidating the signaling mechanisms responsible for controlling stem cell fate decisions and bioprocess design.  Dr. Madlambayan has developed and patented a bioprocess for the growth of cord blood derived stem cells, which has been approved for use in clinical trials. Dr Madlambayan is currently performing research related to cancer stem cells and regenerative medicine. Dr. Madlambayan has presented his research at several international conferences.

Clinical Interests:

Dr. Madlambayan was the Senior Scientist and Laboratory Director of Insception Biosciences, Canada’a largest stem cell research company. Dr. Madlambayan was directly responsible for the operations of a clinical stem cell lab ensuring it exceeded Good Manufacturing Practice standards of quality. Dr. Madlambayan was instrumental in establishing and validating all Standard Operating Procedures used in the lab.

Dr. Madlambayan has authored several peer reviewed original papers, review articles and book chapters in the areas of stem cell biology/engineering and cancer stem cells.
