Robert de Wilton Marsh is a Board Certified Internist, Medical Oncologist, and Hematologist with expertise in the treatment of all Gastrointestinal and Genitourinary cancers as well as Cancers of Unknown Primary. He is Chairman of the Shands Hospital Cancer Committee and also of the University of Florida Shands Cancer Center Protocol Review Committee. He is Principle Investigator for the Eastern Co-operative Oncology Group at the University of Florida and has served as head of the Clinical Trials Office and of the Florida Clinical Trials Co-operative. He is the Director of the Hematology/Oncolgy Clinic and the Shands Infusion Center. He is a strong advocate of physical fitness and an avid cyclist.

Academic Interests:
His main area of expertise and interest is in gastrointestinal and genitourinary cancers. A major focus is the understanding of the inheritance and biology of pancreatic and hepatobiliary tumors, colorectal and rectal cancer, and the development of novel translational therapeutics in these areas. He has additional foci of interest in the development of novel therapeutics for the prevention and treatment of prostate cancer and in the use of new molecular techniques for the identification of unique DNA and RNA signatures in individual tumors.
Clinical Interests:
The prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure of all malignancies, but especially gastrointestinal and genitourinary tumors, along with cancers of unknown primary. The compassionate care of all patients with cancer.
