Attending physician at Shands Hospital at the University of Florida in the Blood and Marrow Transplantation and hematological malignancies program.

Research Interests:

Involved in immunology, cancer and stem cell transplantation research. Focus is on Dendritic cells, immune reconstitution and cytokines after transplantation and vaccines treatment in leukemia.

    Goal is to study immunity to aspergillus infections in stem cell transplant recipients.

    A randomized single blind study of extracorporeal photoimmune therapy with UVADEX in conjunction with standard therapy compared to standard therapy alone for the treatment of skin manifestations in patients with steroid refractory or steroid dependent chronic graft-versus-host disease.

    Pilot trial of two dose levels of thymoglobulin as part of a myeloablative-conditioning for a HLA identical matched related donor (MRD) stem cell transplantation (SCT) with cyclosporine (CsA) as posttransplant graft-versus-host disease (GvHD) prophylaxis.
