Dr. Rossi is a clinician-educator who serves as one of the two oncology hospitalists for the division. She has practiced hospital-based medicine since 2000 and finds the inpatient practice environment to be intellectually stimulating and personally rewarding. She is active in the education and mentorship of medical students and internal medicine residents. The importance of advanced and empathic communication skills is underscored in the inpatient setting, providing additional opportunities to teach by example. She completed the Master Educator in Medical Education program offered by the University of Florida as part of the Faculty Development Program. She is a fellow in the American College of Physicians where she serves on several committees and is part of the Florida Chapter’s leadership. She is also a member of the Florida Medical Association, Alpha Omega Alpha, and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
