Eric Rosenberg, MD, MSPH

Professional Summary:
Dr. Rosenberg is Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Florida, Gainesville. He received his BA from the University of Virginia in 1987. He then earned both a Master of Science in Public Health in 1992 and an MD in 1996 from the University of South Florida, Tampa. He received his internship and residency training at the University of Florida, Gainesville from 1996-1999 and served as Chief Medical Resident from 1999-2000. He completed additional faculty development fellowship training in General Internal Medicine at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill from 2001-2003.
Dr. Rosenberg initiated and developed the Internal Medicine Consultation Clinic upon joining the University of Florida faculty in 2000 and focuses on perioperative and consultative Internal Medicine. He has extensive teaching responsibilities at the University of Florida College of Medicine and was designated an Exemplary Teacher in 2004 and 2006. His research interests are in the areas of patient safety and quality improvement initiatives. He has co-authored papers and presented reports of studies at national meetings regarding medication errors of omission, development of a pilot patient safety curriculum for medical residents, and development of the Department of Medicine consultation curriculum.
Dr. Rosenberg was licensed by the State of Florida in 1997 and certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1999. He was elected a Fellow of the American College of Physicians in 2005. He is a member of the Society of General Internal Medicine. He enjoys running, weight training, biking, and hiking with his wife, as well as time at home with their two puppies, Jake and Casper Rosenberg.
