Internal Medicine at Tower Hill
We are pleased to offer our patients Bone Densitometry services from our location at Internal Medicine at Tower Hill. These services are performed using the Hologic Discovery QDR Series bone densitometer in a private room at the clinic. This state of the art device allows us to perform a comprehensive evaluation of bone density and vertebral fractures for our own patients as well as those from outside providers.
Bone density testing is performed to determine if an individual has osteoporosis and could be at a higher risk for bone fractures. The testing is painless, non-invasive and can be done in less than 15 minutes. An easy to read, single page report is generated on site that you will be given to share with your physician. Should your results show that you have low bone density; your physician will be able to discuss a treatment plan that can help prevent future fractures.
