Christine Baylis, Ph.D.
Dr. Baylis received her B.S. in Physiology and Ph.D. in Renal Physiology from Leeds University in the UK. She then became a postdoctoral fellow with Barry M. Brenner at both the University of California/San Francisco and Brigham and Womens Hospital/Harvard Medical School in Boston. During this time, she participated in the initial glomerular hemodynamics studies that form the basis of our current understanding of glomerular function. Dr. Baylis also served as Assistant Professor of Physiology at Manchester University UK, Brigham and Womens Hospital/Harvard Medical School Boston, and University of California San Diego, and Associate Professor and Professor at West Virginia University. She is currently Professor of Physiology/Medicine and Director of the Hypertension Center at the University of Florida.
